Hello world, this is my first official post on my website, which I like to call my homesite. I will be covering a range of topics along 2022, following an inside-out method.

What do I mean by following a trail that goes inside-out? Well, I will start by posting articles regarding the surface of my persona, including my background, interests, habits, goals, etc. Essentially, using the homesite as a self-portrait will be the starting point. I believe that this can make you, the subscriber, feel more in touch with who is writing these articles, myself.

As time progresses, I will begin to cover my career’s origin, upbringing, path, and future. Also, tips for professional development and networking will be a big part of the content created for this canvas. These topics have me thinking about how I would’ve liked to know certain things before starting my professional career, which at the starting point had me clueless as of where I should head. Have you guys ever felt the same way?

Ultimately, I will reach the point where I will dive deeper into my niche: data. I’ll cover data processing techniques, that involve tutorials and advice to learn or improve our skills with the most popular languages for data analysis, such as Python, R, SQL, and on the side, a little bit of programs that make life easier, such as Excel.

As of today, May 1st, 2022, my journey with this homesite officially begins. I don’t know where this will take me since a clean slate has no limits. Although, I do have a notion set that I would like to follow. An important part of my idea to begin this homesite was to start creating a dimension where I can be of help to other people that want to take on a similar career travesty to mine, not in the sense of choosing to work with data like I did. More so, in the sense of becoming disruptive and surpassing the limits that ourselves impose on our creativity, ambitions and will.

As it was mentioned beforehand, one of the first themes being covered on this homesite will be my persona. I’m Aritz Aizpurua, born in Florida, raised in the U.S, Spain and then Mexico. My family had that nomad lifestyle, which had its pros and cons. However, in the long run, pros weighed out the cons since moving frequently resulted in a healthy development for my social perceptions.

Being exposed to different cultures and personalities, makes you broaden your judgement’s foundations. Nonetheless, a con that hit me, was that I couldn’t develop profound and lasting friendships concurrently. It was rare for me to stay in touch with friends since moving from place to place didn’t promote that type of longevity. In today’s time, it’s simpler to do that and I have indeed been able to get back at old friends that live in other countries.

Something worth mentioning is that my family would travel because of the financial situations presented in the respective country we were residing in, thus, affecting our financial situation as well. For instance, we left the U.S when the ’08 financial crisis hit. Afterwards, we arrived at Spain, where we left after 5 years when the Greek crisis hit, destabilizing the European Union. Next, we decided to go to Mexico, where we settled the best, and have been for quite some time now, as we are able to roam between the former and the U.S frequently.

Thanks to these types of movements, I learned to have grit through tough times, adaptability for unsettling situations and patience for when things go south.

Now you know me a little better and you will know me more soon. Next topic will commence to mix it up with productive habits that I recommend and some professional development tips that have helped me and that might help you!

If you made it to this point, please share my website on your social media!

Hasta la próxima, thank you guys for your time.

- Aritz.
